Changes. We find ourselves in a time of change.
The Arctic is changing. The impact on flora and fauna reflects this. Birds are hatching early, and food is difficult to find. More ice is melting, and sea temperatures are rising. This is changing the natural rhythm. The ocean is filled with plastic waste. It washes up on our coastline.
Nature is showing signs of human activity. How do we feel about being a factor in this disruption?
What is the sound of the Arctic? Can we understand the changes better if we hear them? What if we feel them? The music embraces us, and our mind has space to reflect.

In 2020 we will be looking at "the extremes" as a theme for the festival. Why are some people drawn towards the extremes? Weather it is living and performing as artists, or it is chosing to live in an extreme environment. Can we see the extreme in our way of living and how it affects nature?
