Espen

Langvik

Bold Baritone

Espen is a wonderful story-teller and a strong singer - using his voice and the music as the mediator to reach out to the audience. He has a long and exciting carreer as a solo-singer from the Norwegian National Opera with roles as Figaro in the "Barber of Seville" and DonGiovanni in "Don Giovanni".

Espen Langvik has his training from Rogaland Musikkonservatorium and Statens Operahøgskole, as well as Mannes College of Music in Manhattan, New York. Langvik’s operatic carrier has been based in Norway, but he has also performed in opera houses outside of Norway, such as Kungliga Operan in Stockholm and and the Savonlinna Operafestival in Finland.

Langvik was a soloist in the ensemble of The Norwegian National Opera for eight years, before he became Head of opera for the Arctic Philharmonic in May 2017. One of his most important missions and focus is to make opera more available for the people, wherever they are.
