Adrian Angelico debuted at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, in 2014, singing the Marquise de Merteuil in John Fulljames’s new production of Quartett in the Linbury Studio Theatre. The year after he was invited back to sing Flora in Richard Eyre’s production of La Traviata on the main stage.
Angelico debuted at the Bregenzer Festspiele in 2010, appearing in two new productions of Mieczysław Weinberg’s operas Die Passagierin and Das Portrait. Other important debuts include his british operatic stage debut in English Touring Opera’s production of Flavio. In 2017 he went on tour with Covent Gardens production of Quartett. (Rouen, Trento and Spoleto Festival, USA).
He did a wonderful role as Der Komponist in Ariadne auf Naxos with the Arctic Philharmonic in 2017 - and he has collaborated with this orchestra on several occasions. He is akso known for his engaging interpretations of Octavian (Rosenkavalier), Le Prince Charmant (Cendrillon), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Prinz Orlovsky (Die Fledermaus), The Fox (The Cunning Little Vixen),and Vitige in Handel’s Flavio.
His concert appearances include Peer Gynt with Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, Beethoven’s Symphony no.9 with NDR and Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, Mozarts Requiem, The Messiah, Rossini’s Petite Messe solennelle and St John Passion.
He has recently done Recent engangements at the Royal Opera in Stockholm, as Octavian, in Christoph Loy's production of "Der Rosenkavalier". He will again play the role of Der Komponist (Ariadne auf Naxos) at Festival of the Aegean and he is to be seen and hear at Gothenburg Opera and the Norwegian Opera House in Oslo.
